In the 2018 case South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc., the Supreme Court held that states must charge sales tax on purchases made from out-of-state sellers, even if the seller does not have a physical presence in the taxing state. UntilGone.com, along with other eCommerce retailers, is required by law to collect sales tax on orders from customers in many states around the country. If you are shopping from one of these states, the appropriate charges will be added to your merchandise total and displayed on your final order confirmation.
If your order total has sales tax charges and you have questions about these taxes, please go to your state's Department of Revenue website and search for their "Tax Rate Calculator" or tax rate chart. Here you can enter your address and see the breakdown of the taxes we collect on your state's behalf. Here are the states for which we currently collect sales tax:
Seller has collected the simplified sellers use tax on taxable transactions delivered into Alabama and the tax will be remitted on the customer's behalf to the Alabama Department of Revenue. Seller's program account number is SSU-R010890247.
To calculate the sales tax we are required to collect, we use software from Avalara (www.avalara.com).
